Series: It’s The End Of The World As We Know It… And I Feel Fine
Yep. A three-part series on Revelation.
Prior to this, I had taught about Revelation in Bible Studies (it is so incredibly frequently requested), and even done a seven week series on the seven letters at the beginning of the book. But, generally speaking, preaching on Revelation was (and still is) anathema to me because the book is so… odd. Strange. Enigmatic. Troubling. Disconcerting. Weird.
Ah, well. Though I don’t know that I’ll ever tackle these “10 Bible Verses you will never hear preached in church“, from time to time even I need to address some of the more difficult and obtuse passages of the Bible.
So why not do so completely tongue-in-cheek? I drafted these three sermons drawing both content and tome very heavily from the book A Pocket Guide to the Apocalypse, by Jason Boyett. Indeed, I will not claim these as original because, quite honestly, I don’t know how much was lifted out of Boyett (though I obviously integrated many other things in, too.)
Anyway, I have manuscripts for these three sermons, so post them as is in .pdf form. Click the link and it should load into your computer to read. Be warned, though – the humor might be a bit irreverent…
